Hey Salty Asians, friends, supporters and allies!!!

It’s been ONE FULL YEAR since this scheme of ours took on a life of itself and became the community we have begun to love.

To say our thanks and show our utmost love for all of our contributors, performers, and community members, we decided to celebrate our anniversary to provide some light & solidarity. It‘s been a struggle to say the least.

We are happy to announce our collaboration with Migrationsrat Berlin e.V. (http://www.migrationsrat.de/?lang=en) and eklärmirmal (insta: @eklaermirmal) to gather our forces and provide some healing, strength, and resilience in a time where it only seems as though hate and toxicity is finding new and old forms of terror.

We will be selling drinks at the bar! Along with some yummy food.

There will be an awesome panel by erklärmirmal, performances, poetry, music, and a DJ set!

The panel discussion aims to center queer and postmigrant voices within the topic of social participation and the self-organisation of political, educational and artistic projects and initiatives. How can self-organisation look like in practice and what can it provide? What social and institutional barriers do particularly (post)migrant projects encounter when it comes to self-organizing? And what can new projects learn from self-organisations that have been around for a while?
